After years of teaching in the public schools and privately, it's become overwhelming apparent that every time people authentically interact with music, the results are always positive. These positive results range from intellectual, aesthetic, physical and social/motional benefits. Every year I have the school administration take the vast amount of data on students and we compare music students with non-music students. Every year the data shows that music students consistently outscore and outperform non-music students in tests ranging from Colorado Achievement Test, to the ACT and SAT. Bottom line, students will fall in love with music the same way I have and as a result they will want music to be a vital part of their lives.
